I have been sewing since I was a small child which was a very long time ago, and have watched Nancys programs when they were available in my area. warriors 6 projects to sew in 3 hours or less. She was one of nine people I lost in only ten months that year and I still get teary when I think about it. (I had open heart surgery at 3 years of age and I faced cancer as a young mother.) Ive collected a nice library of sewing books with the vast majority being written by Nancy. Her work to spread charitable sewing is amazing. I also have a photograph with her from that day. Nancy was a great inspiration to me. Her positive attitude and teaching abilities were an inspiration. I loved watching Nancys shows, still watching them. She is missed by so many. And you know, I found out I COULD DO THIS, thanks to her. We do not get PBS here so not able to watch Nancys programs but have watch all the ones she would share on her program on the internet. I have an autoimmune condition which has made sewing large projects difficult, but Nancy always had new, smaller projects, too. She was so talented. I feel sad and also inspired when I think of Nancys illness, death, and amazing life. I watched Nancy Zieman for years and learned do much from her. Just Thank you for Nancy, without you, Richard, she never would have touched so very many of us. All I know is that Im very pleased to have been a fan for many years and continue to enjoy the fruits of her work.
